Witch Trial “Teaser” Info Out There Now
Here is the linkย to get a small taste. The back cover description, the actual cover, and Chapter 1. Keep in mind all of this may change before it’s said and done. Let me know what you think, about anything. I love the cover, but I’m trying to see if we can make the actual title stand out more. The font color sort of “rainbows”, and I can’t it read when the thumbnail gets too small. ย The W and L in the title sort of vanishes.
This is proof that I am working on it, despite my now-typical lack of updates. ๐

You could try a backdrop behind the title of a scroll of parchment or paper maybe?

The issue is coloring. Outside of the black background all the colors are muted and close in shading that it all seems to blend in small images. I would go with a bolder font color for the title. When I think of “Witch Trials” I think of pain and red is a good representation of that. Not a bright red but deep dark red.
Just a thought.

If this is the witch I think your talking about perhaps a few of his modern tools placed around?

I love the cover, the colors are definitely setting the book up for a great mood. I personally don’t see the title fading too much, only from a far enough distance where I wouldn’t be trying to read it anyhow. But maybe itd be as simple as shifting the color a little closer to the brighter spots in the middle of the image. Very excited! Would love to be invited into another beta read

Honestly, it looks great the way it is. Sometimes the more you mess with things, the more confusing it gets. Why does it need to stand out more? The subject is spooky, witchy and supernatural. The font looks great and that weird ghostly green color works great. Sometimes your first instincts are the best.

Usually, when he goes dark like this, he says it means that he’s busy writing. We’ll know when he’s getting close to finishing, though, because he’ll ask for volunteers to beta read the manuscript before he publishes.

Ha you know me too well. ๐ I’m hoping someday I turn into more of a “Hey look at me I’m great at marketing and being social!” writer.

Heya Glenn!,
Let me know if you need a beta/proofreader. I have worked with a lot of authors in the LitRPG genre. Google it and LitRPG will take you to the two main groups. It is super fun and we are up to about 5,000 members. I love all your stories. They are exceedingly well written and fun as hell to read! I would love to get you to write a LitRPG novel!!!

happy readers buy books. Confused readers without updates assume that the author has moved to Pategonia and move on to other authors.

My only reservation is the blurb at the top `From the Damn & Cursed Series’…makes it sound like a spinoff and we all know D&C doesn’t work like that…!
Personally, I get a little frustrated when the sequence isn’t clear. It’s especially important in a series like this, where there are important character developments that reach from Book One all the way up to the latest. Sure, we’re only at 9 books now, but I’m pretty sure there’s at least another two or three (dozen) adventures waiting their turn.
So imagine, if you will, a few years down the road, a new reader is intrigued by `Kursed Kids (From the Damned & Cursed Series). A gripping tale of Tiffany’s son (she was the `older woman’ to Alex & Cindy’s firstborn son, teaching the young man all sorts of interesting things, one of which resulted in a child nineteen years back). Thoroughly intrigued, our new reader picks up `Jack Kursed’….only to think, `WTH?!? Tiffany is only EIGHT in this book?!?’
So…yeah. Numbers are our friends. Just saying.

Now I can’t stop thinking of `Granpa Jack’ changing diapers and babysitting so Tiffany can have some Adult Time with Cilex (or possibly Alindy…gimme a break, they *were* going to name him Jackevin! Victoria disapproved, as she still hasn’t completely forgiven Jack and Kevin accidentally dropping Zooey into a woodchippr. Sixteen times…)
And I can’t stop grinning.

You’re right. I wished this was planned from the beginning, instead of the “happy accident” it became. ๐ It is numbered properly on Amazon. I honestly just didn’t see this becoming a series.
I do have the “reading order” sidebar, which is better than nothing.
