What’s Coming Next
Okey dokey. Soul Insurance is out now, hopefully being read by 100 million people as you read this. 🙂 It’s out for Amazon and Smashwords, and thanks to Smashwords, will be out for other channels in a few weeks. In the meantime I have to get the paperback version ready, always a fun process. Then I’ll shift on over to Demon’s Doorway, edit, and toss that out for beta.
I have a few ideas that keep bouncing around in my head. I’d love to revisit the zombie world, but I can’t really come up with anything right now to base 75K words around. The idea that seems to have the most traction at the moment is another Damned and Cursed novel (I’d better get used to saying that). But I need to get feedback on Demon’s Doorway first. I don’t want to write half of another series novel, only to find out I did something very wrong in the previous novel. But I might be able to get started, say something like 20K words.
I’m curious as to how readers will take Demon’s Doorway. Another first for me, a group novel. I tried my best not to have any one character dominate the novel, and think I’ve succeeded, but the feedback will tell. I’m guessing I’ll get quite a few “You need more/less Jack” and “more/less Victoria” type statements. The good news is that I finished Demon’s Doorway much faster than I thought, so there won’t be a long delay in between novels.
Thanks for reading, guys.

Maybe do something with Bradley or his group? Maybe Bradley can join the Damned and Cursed?

Let me know if you need beta readers for this one. Soul insurance was great, can’t wait for another book of yours.

I vote for more Jack, more Kevin/Witch-guy, more Connor/Soul Insurance, or more Mason/Mind Slide, in no particular order!

Can’t wait for The ‘group’ adventure! Sounds like a great read, and, yeah, let me be the first to whine beforehand – it does need a bit more, Victoria. But I’ll cope.
I’d love to beta read Demon’s Doorway when you’re ready. Sounds interesting. good luck!

You know, there doesn’t seem to be a reason that mind slide can’t be based in the same universe with your damned & cursed characters. Can’t wait for the new book though. Wondering what kind of evil you have planned to require all of your protagonists help considering how powerful they all are.

Just found this place after reading Demonspawn, and I have to say thank you for making it, an the others. I’ve got plenty read now, and I admit, I’m more than likely going to read them all over the summer.
I only have one problem, and I feel embarrassed to bring it up. (don’t what to be nit-picky in front of the professional writer) Why did you call Kevin a witch? I’ve always known that the term for a male witch is a warlock. (Again, sorry for being nit-picky. I drive my family crazy with it…please don’t kill me)

Oh, that’s a fair question. 🙂 It’s actually one I did some digging in before starting the story, for the very same reasons. I didn’t want to get the genders all wrong. But I did find out that while warlock is a male witch, the term witch can also be applied to either sex. I went this route, as it simply fit much better in the story. 🙂
