Brady Jones doesn’t know where he came from. He knows nothing about his family. He doesn’t know what he is, or how it’s possible to do the amazing things he can do.
He does know loneliness and survival, both from a life in the foster care system. He knows that he’s comfortable being alone on a Friday night. Despite the fact that they’re so very different, he’d like to get to know Lily Ferguson better. Maybe even call her a friend.
Brady knows he’s a shapeshifter. He can change his body to look like nearly anything he can imagine. An object, an animal, even other people.
What he doesn’t know is how far the powers-that-be in the world will go to meet him, control him.
He’s about to find out.

Oh believe me, it’s oh so tempting. 🙂 I even had an idea like a telegraphed change-up to link it to Damned and Cursed.
But I’m pretty sure this will be its own piece. I’ve been wanting to create a new world for a while now. I like what this one is like so far.
And there is one pretty “out there” element that I don’t think would fit in well with the supernatural world.

Ahh Jeeze Glenn, the more you say about it, the more tantalizing it becomes to want to read it NOW!! Can’t wait for it.

Like as in Fire/Water/earth/air/ Leeloo??!! Or, are we talking more of an essential plot point? Or something else? Because as I see it, all the characters in D&C series, let alone a shapeshifter are all part of the supernatural world; so why not letting a shapeshifter coexist with the D&C favs?? Ummm come on Glenn can’t they all just get along? :-)? Keep up the amazing job buddy!!

1 – So far, none of my standalones have evolved into another series. I don’t think Mind Slide has the potential too, a closed story there. Dead Living could, and I intend to get back to that. Soul Insurance is another closed story. This one (Shapeless), I’m still not sure yet. 🙂 At the moment, I’m thinking standalone.
2 – You’ll know the “out there” when it happens. 🙂 It’s going to get its own post once the novel is released.

This one is a challenge for sure. Shapeshifting isn’t an easy thing to put into words. 🙂

I’m writing this as a standalone novel, although I did have some early plans to make this a series novel. Brady Jones, I’m not sure he would fit in with the other universe. 🙂
