Okay, Where Are We Now?
Writing time: 49.2 years.
Word count: 105,266 (MUCH longer than I thought. I have to learn to write shorter novels.)
Chapters: 28
Awesome cover: Done.
Back cover text: Needs some work. I don’t like it. But luckily that’s a paragraph. Just have to come up with something so that people will throw money at the book.
Weather: 73 degrees here where I am in Maryland.
Does the above make sense?: Not at all.
Apocalypse incoming: Perhaps.
Characters included: Victoria and Jack Kursed are the main POV characters. There are others, but they will remain a surprise.
What’s “really” left to do on the novel: Finally, “new” writing is done. Now it’s editing, grammar checks, etc. Up to Chapter 22 is done and edited, the way I want. Chapters 23 to 28 just need a review and my edits. Then I want to get 2-3 people (hopefully I still have some readers left) to read it, give me their thoughts. Then it’s out the door for Fallen Skye.

Release date I’m afraid I can’t say. The end is clear now. Editing and grammar checks will just be a few days. It’s the feedback from readers that take a bit, only because I want them to read at their own pace, take their time, give me some feedback, etc.
But after that stage, it’s release time.

I can’t wait. I know it’s going to be great especially since it’s from the POV of my two favorite characters.

As always, so much fun, and so much challenge to write Jack. 🙂 It feels like he’s been away a while.

Really good to hear you’re doing okay and still managing to write during this crazy time. Your books are a great escape from the bonkers reality so if you want any volunteer advance copy readers, I’ll also gladly chuck my name into the hat!

It’s nice to hear that you’re okay. I was just re-reading all your books and noticed that it had been a couple of years since you had published anything. Just chance that you posted this when I was looking around to see how you were doing. Great to hear a new book is in process — looking forward to it.

I love all your books. Although many of the characters are supernatural, they are still relatable. I’m glad to see you post again. I look forward to the new book.

I am usually more of a lurker but I feel like I have to comment. I can easily say I look forward to throwing money at your book regardless of what the back cover says. I regret having read the teaser in a previous post, it has made the wait excruciating.

I’m glad to see you’re still around. One gets to love the work done by an author, and, even though you don’t know the person, one gets concerned when it is a long time between works. Very much looking forward to the book. Hope everything is OK.
