Jack Kursed Is Available For Sale
Jack Kursed is out. Here’s a link to send you over to the Jack Kursed page for links to take you to Amazon and Smashwords. Now Dead Living is all by itself in the coming soon column. π
I’ll put out the description here, in case anyone is on the fence. Hopefully this will grab some attention. These blurbs / descriptions are so hard to write.
The victim of a witchβs curse, Jack has been awake for two hundred years. Unable to die, unable to sleep, heβs trapped in a state of existence that no one can relate to, not even his vampire best friend Victoria.
Using his unique condition, he has helped Victoria in keeping the supernatural world at bay. Evil vampires, werewolves, and monsters have all died at their hand. But heβs about to face his biggest challenge, eight-year-old orphan Tiffany.
Tiffany shows Jack a side of life heβs never seen. A beautiful, hopeful world, where even someone full of rage and disdain for mortal life can find happiness.
However, when his new life and friends are in danger, Jack will unleash a fury two hundred years in the making.
Jack Kursed takes place in the same world as Demonspawn and A Witch To Live, so if you enjoyed those two novels, you may enjoy Jack’s story. I’ve never created a character like Jack before, and I imagine some readers will like following his tale, and others will not like him at all. I had a great time writing him, but he is not the typical hero I’ve written about before. He’s definitely not Alex or Kevin. He does not discover amazing powers within him and use them to defend people. Jack is the victim of a witch’s curse that grants him immortality. Immortality may sound like fun, but not only can he not die, but he also can’t sleep. This simple fact twists him over the years. He is bitter, jealous of mortals, and does not care about them as a whole.
As with my other novels, I tried to add flavor if you’ve read Demonspawn and/or A Witch to Live (and if you haven’t, why haven’t you? π ) but you should be able to follow Jack’s story without doing so. Victoria the vampire returns once again (along with a surprise or two), and I enjoyed fleshing out the relationship she has with Jack. I may have to take a shot at giving her her own novel one day.
I hope you enjoy it. Feel free to leave a review if you did or didn’t. π

Another good novel and do not mess with Jack. I was surprised by the update on Kevin and Rachel.
Your writing is definitely improving and flows better. I look forward to the next installment.

Yeah, what happened to Kevin and Rachel…I do have a plan for that. π
I hope my style continues to improve. I imagine there’s never a point where you’re done “learning” how to write. π

Jack is a very interesting character. Not a nice guy, but then if he were Tiffany would probably not have survived.
One thing though, does he really need his ‘curse’ removed, or does he just need a sleep potion so he can get a good night’s rest now and then? Like Victoria needed a sunburn preventative, not a return to mortality. I suspect a magic trank would be a much easier fix for Kevin to invent.
The Kevin/Rachel thing was a big downer. I can understand how she might not want to be the mundane half of a magic/mundane couple. I mean, just watch a ‘Bewitched’ rerun, who the hell wants to be Darrin? Or maybe its not the magic the way Kevin thinks, maybe money is the problem. Rachel seems hypersensitive about how people see her so she might just have gone from being embarrassed over her mom’s MS to being embarrassed over having a boyfriend who works in the kitchen at TGI Friday’s.
Either way, break up with the old boyfriend and find a new one, no problem. But she got the order wrong. Its going to cut into my enjoyment when I reread ‘A Witch To Live’ to know that she will end up cheating on Kevin. I hope he will meet someone better in a future book.

SPOILERS π READ AT OWN RISK
I’ll be honest, I’m still tossing ideas around on what to permanently do with Jack. I’ve gone from curing him, to not, to killing him. π I’m not 100% sure what his fate will be yet, but I think I’m leaning in a certain direction.
Yeah, it was tough to go the way I did with Kevin and Rachel. Although, I guess I should have written that better. I didn’t want to give the impression she cheated on him. It was just one of those things that happens with college couples. They were apart, she met someone else, she broke it off with Kevin. I didn’t want to have every couple I create end up together, and I do have some plans for Kevin. π

Ok, just finished! Once again you helped me thru my workout and I totally lost track of time and burned 600 calories while reading! Another awesome book! Clever what ur doing with kevin and Rachel. I look forward to seeing where that leads. And LOVED Tiffany and Jack! Jack was a live to hate character that I found very captivating and now that he knows about Kevin what a story you can write! Just don’t kill him! Maybe the lil family of three can be immortal together when the time is right???? Hmmm. Another great book! Congrats:)

Well when the author captivates one can’t help but get sucked in to the world he/she created. One of the things that I liked about this is that Tiffany herself could be a lead character all on her own. She’s only eight now but add twenty years of living as Jacks daughter and Lord knows she would/could be a force of nature to rival any “baddy” out there! And yes, you have quite a challenge indeed! Can’t wait either!!

I just reread jack kursed. Lately ive found I enjoy darker hero’s like him. I love his personality and the bit about finding himself when it came to love and emotion. Not often can I empathize with a anti kind of hero. Personally I hope he stays cursed. I really do. Thank you for your time and I really look forward to reading more about him.

Jack is a very strong character. Scenes in my head keep popping up for the next novel, and they’re very cool. π I’m looking forward to exploring the dynamic between Alex, Kevin, Jack, and Victoria. Alex and Kevin represent the “new” side of my paranormal world, and Jack and Victoria the “old”. It will be a fun novel to write.
