Jack Kursed – 1st Draft – Done
Always a nice feeling. The first draft of Jack Kursed is done. 91K words in total, not a bad length at all. What I’ll do now is play some games, Portal 2, some Walking Dead and The Old Republic. In a week or so I’ll start the editing process. After that it’s beta reading time. This is the fastest I’ve written a novel, and I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing yet. π
If anyone wants to throw their name into the beta reading hat, go ahead. I’ve already got at least one volunteer, and could always use more.

You’ve got my Email address, so let me throw MY hat into the ring right now…I’d love to be on the list of Beta readers you select. Trust me, I’ve read everyone ever to make a splash in science-fiction and Fantasy for the since the late sixties. It’s all I read. I’ve read a lot of them who didn’t make a splash, too. And that was unfortunate since many of them were very talented. Any way. There you go.

Congo Rats… Glad it’s looking good. From what little I’ve read of it this definitely looks interesting, a bit more gritty and darker than your other works. Would love to beta it if you’re still looking for folks…
How you likin’ The Old Republic btw?

Sure, the more beta readers the better, really. More eyes capture more mistakes. It is a little darker in parts. Jack definitely goes off the handle. This was a challenge to make the reader root for him while he does some pretty bad things.
Me and the wife are playing TOR right now. Hit level 25, and had no idea mounts were so expensive. π

Cool, yeah I had the collector’s edition so mount was free XD Just got into the Secret World beta so that will probably hold me over ’till guild wars 2. Good luck out there and thanks ^ ^

I’m sure next week when Diablo 3 hits I’ll be in there for quite a while. π

TOR – Nice!
Waiting “semi”-patiently for the kindle release. (Well, hopefully faking patience decently…)
I truly enjoy your stories and appreciate your rapid releases!

I have to admit, try not to get used to the rapid releases. π I was really lucky this time. Jack Kursed was pretty complete already in my head. Just had to get it down. I had a week where I cranked out like 20K words. That’s not the norm (I wish it was).
I’ve got two ideas in my head now, but they’re definitely not fully formed. One involves a world where reincarnation is real and also a business. A person dies, and they can have their soul transferred to a new body, taking their possessions and property with them. The other idea is the next in my ongoing series. But it’ll be a while before they’re out π

I would love to be in the beta group! I stumbled on Demonspawn, and thought “Eh, i’ll try it out, i have $2.99. Even if it sucks, it didn’t break me to get it.” Wow! I ate my words! The story was engaging, the characters were real! I laughed, got frustrated with them, and loved (or hated) them. You are a great author! Please put me on the beta team!!!

Ha thank you. π I’m not sure if you’ve read A Witch to Live yet, but that also takes place in the Demonspawn world.
As with A Witch to Live, I tried to write Jack Kursed so that you could read it, enjoy it, and not be lost, but there are “bonuses” for those who have read the others. As soon as I’m done editing myself I’ll start passing it along.

Im going to check that out. Are you planning on a series with any of your books?

Demonspawn has kind of turned into a series of sorts. Each book follows a new character (for now at least π Some cool plans coming soon). But each book contains mentions of other characters. Jack Kursed will be the third book in that storyline.
Demonspawn = Alex Teague
A Witch to Live = Kevin Mishnar
Jack Kursed = Jack
Dead Living (not series at the moment)
Mind Slide (not series)

I suggest a good dose of WoW to get the creativity going for phase two. π

I haven’t played WoW in a few months actually. Getting ready for Diablo 3, and hitting up The Old Republic right now. Or, as my wife calls it, “Lightsabers”. π
