(Hopefully) Final Demons LLC Draft Update
I’m down to the last chapter of the novel. I’m guessing somewhere around five thousand more words. The finish line is in sight. But then, of course, something happens. π I have to rethink this part I’m on, so just a little longer. Drives me crazy. I wrote a reference in another novel to an upcoming scene, and I have to make sure everything ties together right. I guess that’s one of the minor drawbacks about the way I write.
Besides this little stumbling block, though, I think the novel has turned out well. I was a little worried about Alex in relation to the others. He seemed to pale in comparison to Jack Kursed and Kevin Mishnar, for example. But this novel shows that Alex (he was my first character, after all) still has it. He operates on a different level than everyone else. Even in the supernatural world, there are other levels, referring to the spirit and world realms. Only Alex can visit those places, and it makes for some interesting ideas.

I’m very much looking forward to this one. I have to admit that I was reluctant to read “Demonspawn” when I first saw the title because I’ve read so many stories with wars between angels and demons. I can’t stand those stories, but I read the book after I read “A Witch to Live,” because I liked that one so much, and while I didn’t care much for the first person point of view, I very much liked the story. Since then, the character has grown on me, and I look forward to reading more about him as his life progresses.

I honestly wish I’d chosen a different title for the first novel than Demonspawn. π A do-over I wish I had back.
Also, I can’t see myself going back to first person again. It really limits what I can do, as I’m stuck behind one set of eyes for an entire novel.

I’ve always thought Alex was the bigger badass compared to Kevin, so no worries there, and Jack is Jack.

I read a lot and you are one of my favorite authors. Your stories are all engaging and I think that all of your main characters bring something unique to the world you have created. Can’t wait for this book. FYI I recommend Dead Living to anyone I know who likes zombies. I honestly think it is the best Zombie Apocalypse book I’ve read, keep up the good work.

I’ll be happy to continue to be a beta reader for you. I’m so happy that a new book is coming out. Sure wish you were able to just zip those books out every few weeks, but that is just wishful thinking. I absolutely love all your books!

I’m on the final “action scene” now, and then the aftermath. And then done. π So probably two more days for the draft. Then I’ll let it cook a week before I proofread and edit. After that I’ll let it out for whoever wants an early read (well 5-6 people).

I would love to be a beta reader! My husband bought Jack Kursed on Audible and then bought the series on Kindle – I am very grateful he suggested that I read them! Very well written and addictive! I have enjoyed reading your work.
