Four Centuries Release Date
I shouldn’t even bother with a release date, and just release Four Centuries on a whim, like I always do. But I should try to act like an actual author, and build anticipation, all that fun stuff I am not good at. š Four Centuries is done, however I want the weekend available for one “final” check, make sure there are no goofy issues that sometimes happen when converting for Kindle, Nook, etc.
So, the release date is December 15th. Just in time for a quick Christmas read. Monday night I’ll submit it to all the sites, and the next morning it should be ready to go (paperback a few weeks later). Tell all your friends, your dog, your boss that hates vampire novels. You know what to do. š
As always, drop me a line or comment to let me know if you enjoyed (or not).
This was a scary novel. Even knowing Victoria as well as I do, I was still nervous writing it. Chapter 1 alone took a few months to get through. I just didn’t know how to begin Victoria’s tale. But once that was over the rest of the novel went together fast.
I had a lot of fun exploring her relationship with Zoey. For those unfamiliar, Zoey made her first appearance as a minor character in Demons LLC. It was in writing her scenes in that novel that I thought it would be interesting to pair her with Victoria. Another take on the “old” vs. “new”. I don’t exactly see her becoming one of the core characters, but I think she will pop up from time to time. (FYI, I consider the core, Victoria, Jack, Kevin, Alex. Although, there is possibility for Marie, the werewolf, to slip inside the circle).
Okay, that’s enough rambling. Two full-length novels in one year. Not sure if that will ever happen again. I hope you enjoy. š

I vote for a hell yes Marie should be in the circle. As was referenced she is part of Jack’s Pack, though Alex, Kevin, and Victoria will give him some crap over it…

I’d like Marie to get into the ‘inner circle.’ Maybe not get her own book, but I think she would be an interesting partner to Jack. Also, I can envision an interesting dynamic between her and Tiffany.

Is this going to be released in any other book stores for epub or mobi? I don’t have a kindle and I’ve been waiting for any of the other formats to be released so I can read this book. š Can’t wait to read it!

Sure. I use Smashwords to handle distribution to Kobo, Barnes and Noble, Apple, etc. So it’s a little slower than Amazon. I’ll submit to them tonight, but there might be a delay in getting it to their sites. And the paperback version is in the works as well.

Just finished reading, and I really liked the book. I was just wondering whether Victoria is so much faster and stronger than the other vamps because of her age, or is it more like she’s so much older that she just has exponentially more experience at fighting?
Glenn Bullion
December 21, 2015 @ 11:03 am
The “feel” I was going for was that she isn’t necessarily stronger or faster, but the experience is what makes her better. The “newborn” vampires, as I like to call them, simply don’t know what they’re capable of, which is why she can handle them much easier than in dealing with someone older.

Great book, it was fun reading about Victoria, loved the new characters, and old of course. Keep em’ coming and I’ll keep buying…
Don’t forget to go to author central and add it to your author’s page, the book doesn’t show there yet, only in a kindle store search.

The book was great! I couldn’t put it down and finished it in one reading. I am definitely looking forward to the next installment in this series. And while I loved the book, more action/involvement for Alex, please (if you can’t tell, he is my favorite character)!!!

I’m going to make a post about this soon, but I have an idea in the works. Kind of sleeping on it for a little bit. Part of me wants to take at least a novel break from the series, but an idea popped in my head that might be hard to ignore. It all started out as a pairing that caught me by surprise, and it’s kind of moved from there.

Sure hope there is another year with two books, 2016! I read all your damned books starting November 19 and finishing the first 6 on November 24, then read the newest this evening. I don’t know how I can wait a whole year for another one! Really enjoy the characters, particularly Jack.

I feel terrible to admit that thoughts of this did cross my mind. I like the few scenes Kevin and Zoey had. But I tried my best to get across there was no romance there. I’m not a big fan of love triangles. I just feel they’re overdone, and can easily become a crutch in fiction. Twilight was based on one, and even The Hunger Games had an element of “Who will she choose?” Author: Oh no, I need to introduce some tension in a relationship. I know! Love triangle! š I don’t think I’ll be going that route anytime soon. But I wondered to myself, as a joke…Alicia or Zoey, who will Kevin choose?….And the Hollywood agents comes busting down my door! š
Kevin and Alicia do have some problems coming up, but they’re not based around another lady or guy, that’s for sure.

Thank you for not delving into the overdone love triangle. As a female reader you would think I would love it, but all it does is detract from the characters and make for repetitive reading. So again thank you.

Thoroughly enjoyed all the books in this series, thanks for your effort! Would agree that Marie would be a nice addition, as would Nate, though you need to be mindful that, as a group, they don’t become too unbeatable ( a problem John Conroe had to deal with in The Demon Accords).
Looking forward to reading how the “Vampire Council” respond to Victoria, they don’t even know about Alex!
Best wishes for the future, and get cracking.

You need to have one of every creature represented within the circle. There isn’t a werewolf yet, so Marie would be the best bet. I really thought you were going to have them form a group…..kind of like a superhero circle fighting the bad guys. You DO lean towards this in a way, but it still seems a bit broken.
Everyone still lives in separate states and has separate lives which is fine and as it should be, but as a group of the strongest supernatural creatures in the world, they don’t have a set plan in place for emergencies and teamwork.
You’re mixing them together here and there because they either live close enough together or Kevin can make a portal but it still seems like they all haven’t quite pulled their act together yet.
I don’t think Zoey should be part of this team either. She did ok as part of the storyline in this last book, but she should go on her way once she’s stable. I also wasn’t crazy about this last installment. In the beginning you repeated quite a bit of the previous book.
And….I get it. Amet told people about the portal in Victoria’s hotel room, which sent Patrick after Kevin, but
it seemed so drastic going after Kevin like that. Dozens of people willing to shoot up civilian buildings and show themselves to the public like that? Didn’t work for me.
I don’t know….For some reason all of this just didn’t knit together like the other stories. Amet was given $50K. That’s quite a lot of money for just turning on Victoria like that and Amet was shown as being a good guy. Didn’t quite mesh or make sense.
Also, there are so many wrong words in sentences and missing words as well. The amount of mistakes in the text throughout all of the books is really overwhelming. You’re a really good writer and I mean that wholeheartedly, but having so many problems in these books brings you down.
You need a professional editor.

Personally Glenn, I see the haters, and I disagree. Completely. This has been one of my favorite reads in a long time, and lately I have been finding myself reading a lot. I love what you have done with these characters, bringing myths into the new century in some of the best urban fantasy I’ve read in a very long while. I love your cast of characters, with Jack and Tiffany probably being my absolute favorite. But them aside…I read one of your previous comments, and I am really glad you made the decision to hook Kevin up with Alicia. I love the chemistry there (Heh…witch…chemistry..) and really hope that’s something that lasts. They have both been through some really rough patches and I want them to come out the other side with each other. I would never presume to tell an author what to do with his books, but damn I hope they hold together. Anyway, after this long rant, I just want to say thank you again for putting out such an outstanding series, and I can’t wait to read more of it in the future!
