Beginning of 2013 Update
Just to give a quick update on where things are right now.
Dead Living is available for sale. Permuted Press hasn’t made any type of official announcement yet (maybe they’re waiting for the Audible version?) but I know you can go to Amazon or Barnes and Noble and get either the paperback or eBook version right now. For those who don’t know, Dead Living was available for sale over a year ago, but is now a Permuted Press novel, and they’ll be handling the marketing, pricing, etc. I’m hoping they can push it to the moon. I’m also hoping those who haven’t read it before enjoy it. š Dead Living is my take on a zombie apocalypse, and has some interesting characters and scenarios along the way.
Soul Insurance is in beta, and so far has received positive feedback. There is an addition or two I’d like to add, and maybe more when all the feedback is back in. But this novel isn’t that far off from release, I’d imagine. It’s not related to my “series”, and I’m curious as to how it’s accepted. š Dead Living is standalone, and has done well. So is Mind Slide, but it has not. š
Finally, we come to Demon’s Doorway. I think I’ll stick with that title, it’s grown on me. This is a series novel, and anyone who has read Demonspawn, A Witch To Live, or Jack Kursed will find a character they’re familiar with. Amazingly, I’m almost done the novel (on the finale now, 81K words in). It feels like this one will be around 90K words or so. I’ve never been so far into a new novel while one is in beta. I want to get the cover started, but I can’t yet until I decide on a series title. I want to have “Demon’s Doorway — A Cool Series Novel”, so people will know what they’re getting. But once that’s in place, off we go.
So, we’ve got three novels for sure this year, hopefully more. Zombies, to a world full of souls, to another world with supernatural creatures. That’s not a bad spread. š

Look man, Quit teasing me and take my money NOW!
I did like the sample of soul insurance. So I already have a good expectation of it.

It’s great that Dead Living is getting new breath. Will those of us who own the original be getting an ‘update’, or will we need to buy the new one to see changes? ARE there many / any serious changes, or…?
You should hold a contest to either come up with ideas or vote on ideas you’ve come up with for the series name. I know I said before you should name it something involving the ‘world’ that it’s in, whatever you want to call it, like Forgotten Realms books are called (as they’re all in the Forgotten Realms), but perhaps instead of the ‘world’ that it’s in, maybe the name of the organization under Bradley (Victoria’s handler/boss?)

I looked into this already, and you can’t update the old Dead Living to the new one (I tried myself) š However, there weren’t any major changes. Some different word choices, corrections, italics here and there. Nothing in the plot changed at all.
That’s not a bad idea, a content š Your idea is exactly what I’m trying to do, come up with a location-based name that simply ties everything together.
I was thinking about just “Demonspawn series”, since that was the first book, but that gives the impression it’s about Alex, which wouldn’t be the case. Tough. š

Hey a contest would be cool maybe give away an autographed copy of the book or something like that. How about the the supernatural beings series or something along the lines of that.
