Fallen Skye Now Available
I imagine most of my followers know by now, but Fallen Skye is available. The link to the book page on the website is here. The direct Amazon link is here. (And in going there to get the link, I see there are two ratings already. Thanks very much, guys. š )
This book took a while to get out. Hopefully, it is worth the wait. Another tale in the Damned and Cursed universe, with quite a few characters we’ve all come to know. Victoria and Jack are the “main” characters, but with a sprinkling of some others as well.
So, what’s next? There are a few things I have to do to the actual book landing page. I have to move the samples over. Probably add some trivia. And some reviews, and that’s where I could use some help.
I avoid Amazon reviews like the plague. Back in the early days, I found myself checking them a little too much, and it caused some anxiety. Every writer loves to hear their work is enjoyed, but it stings just as equally on the bad reviews, too. The thing is that the bad stuff is just as valid. But I don’t want to get caught up in “review checking”. š
However, saying that, I like to put excerpts of reviews on my site. So, if you happen to leave an Amazon review, and wouldn’t mind me putting up a portion of it on the site, let me know.
And more what’s next? In a week or so, will get to work on putting out the paperback version. Have to get the artwork designed, and then compile in Scrivener (which I am basically relearning).
Then it’s new novel time, but that’s another post. š

Not going to lie, this was your best work yet. The book had great balance and told a great story. I love the character growth here.
I remember you mentioning you almost brought Shapeless into this universe. Any chance that could still happen? I loved those characters and would really like to see them interacting with Alex and Victoria.
I’ll be leaving a review on Amazon. You’re always welcome to use mine.

Even several novels later, this is a decision that still comes back to me sometimes. I admit, I still wonder if it was the right decision to make Shapeless a standalone novel. Like you said, I think Brady and his talents would have made for a strong addition to the series.
Side note: For those reading, and don’t know, I toyed with the idea of my novel Shapeless being a “series” novel. The original ending I had in mind was Brady looking for a job, and end up seeing a “Help Wanted” from Demons LLC. But this ending didn’t come to be. š
If I wanted to do this now (and the thought crosses my mind sometimes), I’d have to “cheat”, go back somehow and undo the ending. I’m not sure if that would be “right”. š

Absolutely loved it. Was surprised when this popped up in my Amazon recommendations but very happy to see it was finished! Some of the parts with Jack had me laughing randomly, especially in the first introductions, while reading causing my wife to question what was going on as loudly as I was laughing. Kevin’s evolution was good to see and felt natural given everything that has happened. The team dynamics are always great regardless of who the characters are at the time. Only felt a little rushed as there are usually some extra off action scenes with the characters, but overall one of my favorite books of the year. Well written sir, keep them coming, some of my favorite books.
